On Friday May 16th, Cleveland, Tennessee photographer Dennis Sprinkle and Dalton, Georgia painter Pain will team up for a much anticipated reunion at Michael’s Fine Arts and Framing in Dalton. This will be the third in a series of local artist shows being hosted by Michael’s Fine Arts.
Dennis Sprinkle was born and raised in Cleveland, TN and continues to make that his home. Living in Cleveland has allowed him to be only a short drive from the Smoky Mountains along with many other beautiful areas. His primary interests in photography are nature, landscape, and portraiture. Dennis Enjoys challenging the possibilities that technology and nature present in order to create his intricately beautiful landscape and portraiture work. |

Pain is a native of Dalton. His work runs the gammet of mediums and styles ranging from abstracts based purely on emotion to more formal outsider art. Pain works in a variety of mediums including sculpture, furniture construction, and even music, but his favorite mediums are acrylic and watercolor painting. In addition Pain has more than 8 years experience as a professional framer under the instruction of veteran professional picture framer Michael Thacker. This background shows in the framing choices that complete his paintings, many of which are actual hand finished extensions of the work itself.
This show is a result of the friendship shared by the artists. The images presented will be so diverse that there will be something to please any astetic. Dennis will be presenting a collection of his breathtaking landscapes including his largescale panoramas of well known landmarks as well as his technically fascinating time lapse work. At the same time Pain will be bringing a large selection of abstract work that conveys his purely emotional expression of mood and movement given form in his richly textured and intricate canvases.

The opening will begin at 5:30 and go till approximately 8:00 on Friday May 16th. There will be wine and light hors d'oeuvres. The show is open to the public and will remain on display until the end of the month. Michael’s Fine Arts and Framing is located at 1325 Dug Gap Road in Dalton Georgia.
